Born out of the 2021 campaign, the association works to protect the Imperial Cedar and the remarkable trees of Meudon.
What it does
Watching over a living heritage
The ARCBM came together when the Imperial Cedar was threatened by a development project. Its purpose now reaches beyond that single tree: it watches over the remarkable trees of Meudon, many of which are direct witnesses to the history of the town.
Its work involves documenting the health of the trees, raising the alarm when a felling is planned, making their heritage value known, and keeping a dialogue open with the public authorities.

Where the Cedar stands
The Imperial Cedar stands at 11 rue de la République, 92190 Meudon, on the heights of the town, 6.6 km from the Eiffel Tower. It is freely visible from the street.
The street has been called, in turn, rue Napoléon, rue des Princes, briefly rue Charles de Gaulle during the Occupation, and rue de la République since 1883.
